What if I need assistance while I am at the centre?

Whether you need toileting assistance, meal time assistance or assistance with your mobility, our staff are fully trained and are here to support you.

Can I attend if I am in a wheelchair?

Yes, the centre is all on one level with wheelchair accessible toilet facilities, as well as wheelchair accessible vehicles to transport to and from the centre if required.

What sort of meals are provided?

The hot lunches are generally suitable for all tastes. Our meals are supplied by Stracathro hospital and they offer a choice of two main courses or sandwiches which are varied depending on what day you attend.  Stracathro hospital are happy to cater for certain dietary requirements, it is important to us that any requirements are made clear at the time of assessment so we can try and cater for your needs.

Can I receive a bath or shower while I am at the centre?

Yes, we have a hydraulic chair lift and a walk in shower, staff can assist you if required, while maintaining your privacy, dignity and independence as much as possible.  There may be a charge for this service if the request was made by the individual, family or carer.

Can I smoke while I am at the centre?

Yes, we have a designated outside area for smoking.
